July literary lunch

Tuesday July 15th 11:30-1:30 at the Riverside Hotel 2900 Chinden

Program:  How the Library Can Help Writers

Speakers: Boise Public Library’s Lorie Broumand and Heidi Lewis

The Boise Public Library fills a significant role in the writing community. Among other topics, attendees will learn how the BPL helps with books (how to write a novel or how to get published), why it’s beneficial for local writers to book an appointment with a librarian, what online tools (QueryTracker, Duotrope…) are useful, what the BPL will offer in the future for local writers, and an overview of the BPL Writing Workshop.

The Idaho Writers Guild, writers working for writers, meets the third Tuesday of every month (except November and December). Network with writers and others in the literary community and get rejuvenated! The Literary Lunches are open to the public.
